The Convocation Ceremony of the 2nd batch of Diploma in Psychological Counselling and the 3rd batch of the Certificate Course in Psychotherapy was held in the Caring Minds Auditorium on the 5th of July, 2022.

Hon’ble Ministers Sri Sujit Bose and Vice Chancellor of Jadavpur University, Dr. Prof. Suranjan Das graced the event as Chief Guests. After a brief tour of the facilities at Caring Minds, the dignitaries headed to the Auditorium to deliver their motivating speeches to the audience. The graduating students were then handed their certificates in the presence of their families, friends and teachers.

We thank our Chief Guests for their gracious presence and wish the students the very best for their future endeavours!

An awareness program on Comprehensive Medical, Physical, Functional Assessment and Management Camp for Down Syndrome kids was conducted on 25th June. The panellists spread awareness and educated the parents of the children with down syndrome. The audience were enthusiastic and the workshop helped them to gain insight about the same.
 

Students in school often go through a lot of issues in school like fear of failure, lack of concentration, lack of acceptance among peers and many such issues which often goes unnoticed.
Caring Minds conducted a workshop with the teachers of Skylark school, Howrah on understanding and dealing with emotional and behavioral issues of students. The workshop was conducted with 12 teachers including the principal.
 

Awareness is the key and information is the power that will help break stereotypes surrounding the capabilities of individuals with Autism. To this end, Caring Minds and the Yi Kolkata Chapter Accessibility vertical celebrated World Autism Awareness Day by hosting a panel discussion titled ‘Demystifying Autism’ on the 2nd of April, 2022 at the Caring Minds office.

Ms. Minu Budhia (Psychotherapist and Founder, Caring Minds), Ms. Megha Rathi (Clinical Psychologist), Ms. Mohini Ojha (Special Educator) and Ms. Aparna Ladha (Clinical Psychologist) gave riveting and thought provoking talks on autism. This was followed by a ‘Bollywood Mental Health’ Quiz, which saw eager participation from the audience.

The guests were also given a tour of the Caring Minds premises. To increase awareness about mental health issues, tests such as stress detection, anxiety detection, depression detection, and personality tests were made available to them.

We hope the audience found a lot to take away from the session!

A graduation ceremony for the 5th batch (2019-2020) of the 1 year Post-Graduate Diploma in Basic Counselling was held in the Caring Minds auditorium on the 5th of March, 2022. Honourable Ministers Smt. Chandrima Banerjee and Shri Bratya Basu graced the day as chief guests, and the event saw wide press coverage.

The graduates received their diplomas from the chief guests in the presence of their family members.

Sri N S Nigam, IAS, Secretary – Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal, along with Sri Rupam Banerjee and Dr Debasish Halder, paid a visit to the Caring Minds clinic on the 2nd of March, 2022. They were taken on a facility tour by our Founder – Director Ms. Minu Budhia and Ms. Preeyam Budhia, following which the visiting dignitaries had interactions with the psychologists at Caring Minds.

We had the pleasure of hosting honourable U.S. Consul General. Ms. Melinda Pavek along with Ms. Amy Pratt and Mr. Adrian Pratt at Caring Minds. They were accompanied by our Founder, Ms. Minu Budhia and Head, New Initiatives, Ms. Preeyam Budhia. They were taken on a tour of the facility.

Orientation programme for the incoming batch of the 6 Months Certificate Course in Psychotherapy was held on the 20th of November, 2021. Recognised by Jadavpur University, the course has garnered a lot of interest in the community, and this batch is the 4th to enroll for it.
The online event was graced by faculty members Ms. Sugandha Ramkumar, Ms. Aishwariya Banerjee and Mr. Sourojit Pramanick, along with Akademia Co-ordinator Ms Atreyee Chandra.

Orientation programme for the 3rd batch of the Diploma Course in Psychological Counselling was held on the 20th of November, 2021.The course is recognised by Jadavpur University and classes are held over the duration of a year.
Faculty members Ms. Sugandha Ramkumar, Ms. Aishwariya Banerjee and Mr. Sourojit Pramanick attended the programme along with Akademia Co-ordinator Ms. Atreyee Chandra.
